This spacious clinic provides a wide range of treatment options and an extensive range of food, flea, worm and shampooing products. Debra is the main Veterinary Surgeon. The friendly nursing team is led by Lisa and includes Mikayla and Emily.

Debra graduated from Massey University in 2006 and moved to the UK in 2009 where she worked for 11 years apart from an 18 month break working as a Vet in Bermuda. While in the UK Debra gained her GP certificate in Small Animal Surgery, GP certificate in Western Veterinary Acupuncture and Chronic Pain Management and completed a certificate in Canine Rehabilitation. While still having a strong interest in surgery, Debra is also passionate about geriatric patient care, chronic pain management and canine rehabilitation. When the world got turned upside down by covid Debra and her husband Mike decided it was time to return home to NZ. Since been back they have bought a house on the peninsula, adopted a Labrador cross called Lulu and a ginger cat called Darwin and are becoming experts in home DIY and enjoying the outdoor NZ lifestyle they had missed in the UK.
Graduated from Glasgow Veterinary School in Scotland and worked in equine and small animal practice in the UK for 10 years before emigrating to New Zealand with her partner in 2009. She worked in both emergency clinics in Auckland and for Veterinary Hospital Group in the Parkhill branch for 6 years before a short career break having her daughter. Susan returned to work in emergency out of hours work and then rejoined the Veterinary Hospital Group as Northern Clinical Director in January 2023. You may come across her working in any of the northern branches.
With over 30 years veterinary nursing experience in both the UK and NZ Lisa manages the Peninsula Bay Clinic . Her main interest is surgical nursing and she enjoys teaching this . Lisa has 2 cats and a dog at home , all rescues !!!
Emily graduated from vet nurse plus in 2022. She has been a student with us since 2020 .Her main interest is surgical nursing as well as oncology nursing . In her spare time she loves to walk her parents dog Charlie , go caving, plan her next overseas trip and anything arts and crafts . Emily splits her time working between Parkhill and Peninsula Bay.
Mikayla graduated a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2018. She has a huge interest in Canine behaviour and does most of our puppy parties. For relaxation she loves a nice long walk on the beach with her partner, daughter and Rosie the dog. At home she enjoys cuddles with her two cats Maximus and Salvester.
