The Importance of Microchipping

Neville was brought into our Massey Clinic by clients to see if he had a microchip as he had been hanging around their house for about a month and was not owned by any of the neighbours.

Thankfully he was microchipped and registered with the New Zealand Companion Animal Registry(NZCAR) and we were able to contact his owner who was overjoyed to know he was well and able to get him back.

Neville had been missing for approximately 3 months. He was last seen by his owner several weeks before the level 4 lockdown and they had also moved to another part of the country.

With the help of their friends and family Neville was reunited with his owners
